The Long Way Home

Escaping the smoky chaos of a Welsh house party back in the 90’s, I stepped out into a natural spectacle. The dusk sky was exploding into colour and everyone inside was oblivious. Suddenly, I knew that I couldn’t go back inside. I started walking toward the sun, a bittersweet tug of longing at the edges of my consciousness. I walked the long way home, savouring the moment. Change was coming, a new chapter in my life, a new adventure under the vast sky.
