Since reading a poem recently, called ‘SwanLight’ by the Irish poet and philosopher, John O’Donahue, I’ve been experiencing the landscape with new eyes. Noticing how many moments there are, when I’m walking along a familiar path and suddenly something forcibly catches my attention. A dragonfly, a bald eagle, or a new tree down. On this morning it was sunlight illuminating the new Corn Lillies. I literally caught my breath as I turned around and saw the lantern-like shape of light. Whatever reverie I was lost in, was lost. In that moment, I was fully present, and in awe.
