Taking Flight

Something in the way they move through space and water feels tranquil and urgent at the same time. Long, prehistoric beaks pierce the water when they dive, a great splash interrupting the surface. Flying in a line with their tribe, tracing wave contours, water and air. I love the space between feet and water, takeoff and landing. A delicate tension, dripping.
