Description
This is an original oil painting created en plein air, outside. I set up an easel on a spot overlooking the South Upper Truckee River near our home in Christmas Valley. The way the river winds its way through the forest is fascinating, I love that curvy shape. There was still snow on the ground, as it was early spring. The light crisscrossing the river seemed to call and respond, back and forth like singers. There’s music everywhere, if you listen.
