Description

Carpets of wildflowers grace the valley floor in the summer months. Rose and periwinkle, lemon yellow and occasionally hot pink appear like spilled paint over the dry decomposed granite and dust. Jeffrey Pines cast long shadows, a welcome respite from the heat of the morning. Cool blue spruce nestle among the sap green lodgepole, Sierra Juniper loom high over them all.  The forest community is intertwined and interconnected, their colors and shapes making silent music. An ode to life.
